Price Hike in Bangladesh
(Type 1)

(DIFFICULTY: Easy)

The price hike is a major problem in Bangladesh. Prices of essential commodities ( দ্রব্যাদি ) have been rising steadily over the past few years, making it difficult for people to make ends meet. The cost of living has increased significantly, and people are struggling to cope with the rising prices.

The main reason behind this is the lack of proper economic policies and the government’s failure to control inflation ( মুদ্রাস্ফীতি ). The prices of food items such as rice, vegetables, fish, meat, and other essential commodities have gone up drastically ( ব্যাপকভাবে ) in recent times. This has made it difficult for people to afford basic necessities.

The prices of fuel and electricity have also increased significantly, making it difficult for people to manage their daily expenses. In addition, the cost of transportation has also gone up due to the increase in fuel prices. The government needs to take immediate steps to address this issue by introducing proper economic policies that can help control inflation and stabilize prices.

It should also focus on creating more job opportunities so that people can earn enough money to meet their daily needs. Moreover, the government should provide subsidies ( ভর্তুকি ) on essential commodities so that people can afford them at reasonable rates. This will help reduce poverty and improve the overall quality of life in Bangladesh.
